Skillcentre A Storms to Away Victory Over D.V.E B!

Skillcentre A took to the road on September 18 and returned with a brilliant 5½ to 3½ victory over D.V.E B.

The undisputed MVPs of the night were Andrew Farn and Somesh Valagala, who put on an absolute masterclass for our side. The pair were unstoppable, sweeping all three of their matches in straight games to secure a flawless 3 points, closing out their perfect night with a tight 22-20 finish against the D.V.E first string.

Jason Lewis and Aaron Heard also had a strong showing, pulling in 2 crucial points for the team. They opened the night with a massive statement, dismantling the home side’s top pair with a blistering 21-4 second game, before battling to hard-fought splits in our remaining two matchups.

D.V.E B’s middle and bottom pairings put up a stubborn defense, but Bob and Tom McLaren managed to snatch a vital half-point by splitting their game against the home first string (21-14, 19-21). It was a fantastic overall squad effort to comfortably secure the win on away turf!
