Skillcentre Open ‘A’ Deliver Dominant 8-1 Masterclass Against Stowmarket Open ‘B’!

Skillcentre Open ‘A’ put on an absolute clinic on home turf on October 1, dismantling Stowmarket Open ‘B’ with a ruthless 8 to 1 victory in Division 3 action.

Our squad was nearly untouchable from the first serve. Richard Calver and Jason Lewis were in devastating form, leading the charge with a flawless 3 points. They swept all their matchups in straight games, highlighted by a remarkably clinical 21-9, 21-3 dismantling of the visitors’ third string. Andrew Farn and Mike Florey matched that perfection, also claiming a maximum 3 points for the home side without dropping a single game all evening.

Bobby and Tom McLaren backed up our top and bottom pairs brilliantly, securing another 2 points with dominant straight-game wins over the Stowmarket second and third strings (21-16, 21-13 and 21-10, 21-13). The away side’s only resistance came from their top pair, Phil Clarke and Jules Hagger, who managed to snatch a hard-fought 21-19, 21-18 victory over the McLarens to prevent the complete shutout. Overall, it was a spectacular team performance to secure a massive home win!
