Skillcentre Mixed ‘B’ Cruise to Dominant Home Victory Over Woodbridge

Skillcentre Mixed ‘B’ put on a commanding performance on home turf on October 8, dismantling Woodbridge Mixed ‘B’ with a decisive 7½ to 1½ victory in Division 5 action.

Simon Colwill and Lauren Hewes were absolutely flawless on the night, acting as the anchor for the team by securing a maximum 3 points. They swept all three of their matchups in straight games, setting a ruthless tone early by edging out a tense 23-21 opening game against the visitors’ top string before blowing them away 21-9 in the second.

Graham Bolton and Svajune Kairiene also had a fantastic showing, adding 2.5 points to the tally. They claimed straight-game sweeps over both the Woodbridge first and third strings and fought hard to secure a split against the away second pair, taking their opening game 21-15.

Jenna French and Aaron Heard rounded out the scoring by securing 2 points for the squad. They delivered their best performance in the second round, dominating Woodbridge’s top pair with a blistering 21-18, 21-5 victory. They also ground out crucial splits in our other two matchups, including bouncing back from a narrow 21-23 dropped game against the visitors’ third string to take the second game comfortably 21-11. It was an incredibly consistent, top-to-bottom squad effort to keep the points firmly at Skillcentre!
