Tough Division 2 Defeat for Skillcentre Ladies at Framlingham

On September 25, our Skillcentre Ladies team faced a challenging away fixture against a strong Framlingham Glevering side in Division 2 action, ultimately falling 6 to 3.

Despite the overall result, Jane Fayers and Rachel Farn were absolute standouts for our squad. Operating as the third pair, they delivered an impressive 2 points for Skillcentre, dismantling the home side’s second and third strings in dominant straight-game victories (21-16, 21-15 and 21-12, 21-10).

Justine Cooper and Lynda Miller also got on the board for us, securing a solid straight-game sweep over the Framlingham third string (21-15, 21-13). They showed fantastic grit early in the night as well, pushing the home second string to the absolute limit before narrowly dropping a fiercely contested second game 22-20.

Ultimately, Framlingham’s top pair of Alys Thompson and Grace Mann proved too much to handle on the night. They executed a flawless, straight-game sweep across all three of their matchups to anchor the home side’s victory and keep the points at Framlingham.
