Skillcentre Mixed B Battle to a Thrilling Draw at Framlingham!

Skillcentre Mixed B hit the road to Thomas Mills on October 16 and came away with a hard-fought 4½ to 4½ draw against a tough Framlingham & Glevering Mixed B side.

Simon Colwill and Justine Cooper led the charge for our squad, delivering a massive 2 points on the night. They were clinical when it counted, securing commanding straight-game victories over both the home first (21-16, 21-15) and third strings (21-13, 21-16).

Graham Bolton and Jane Fayers were the clutch heroes of the evening, providing 1.5 crucial points. Alongside a dominant sweep of the home third pair (21-14, 21-7), they secured the overall draw in the final round by fighting back to snatch a vital split against Framlingham’s formidable second string, taking the second game 21-19 after dropping the first.

Svajune Kairiene and Aaron also added a full point to the board, blowing past the home third string with a confident 21-14, 21-10 straight-game sweep. In fact, Skillcentre’s absolute dominance over the Framlingham third pair—sweeping them without dropping a single game across all three matchups—was the bedrock that allowed us to secure a well-deserved point on the road.
